In recent years, online recruitment scams have increased in frequency, impacting both applicants and employers. Most of these fraudulent offers come via email. These emails may appear professional and legitimate, but they are not affiliated with Par Pacific in any way. Prospective applicants should carefully research the legitimacy of any unsolicited recruiting emails or job offers to avoid falling victim.
To help protect yourself against potential scammers, please note the following recruitment practices employed by Par Pacific:
- Par Pacific requires that applicants apply directly through the career portal on our Careers website before any interviews take place. This website is a location where applicants can securely complete an online application, upload a resume, and submit other relevant application materials.
- Par Pacific screens applicants through a combination of over-the-phone, video and in-person meetings.
- Par Pacific will never ask a candidate for payment of any kind as part of the hiring or onboarding process.
- Par Pacific will not request an applicant to share sensitive personal information, such as a government identification number, over the phone or by email until a formal written offer letter is signed by the applicant.
- Par Pacific will always require a candidate to interview with a company representative prior to extending a job offer.
