- Reporting to the Contracts & Sourcing Manager at Par Montana, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services as you collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with suppliers, and assist in sourcing activities to meet our organization's procurement needs.
Key activities include:
- Assist in the procurement of goods and services, including conducting market research and identifying potential suppliers
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to meet dynamic business needs
- Develop procurement expertise across MRO materials, equipment, and services
- Build and manage supplier relationships that drive value, reliability, and performance
- Participate in supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management processes
- Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals and bids to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Assist in the development and execution of procurement strategies
- Track and report on procurement metrics and key performance indicators
- Execute purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services in support of refinery operations, maintenance, and turnarounds
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and service levels
- Expedite orders and proactively manage delivery schedules to ensure continuity of operations
- Resolve invoice discrepancies, delivery issues, and supplier performance concerns
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure data integrity within ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to optimize stock availability
Qualifications
To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Additional qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management required
- Self-starter with excellent follow-up and organizational skills required
- Knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP systems, SAP and Ariba preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel preferred

Our Refineries and Logistics Operations
We own and operate refineries in Hawaii, Montana, Washington, and Wyoming, with total operating throughput capacity of over 219 Mbpd. Par Pacific owns and operates one of the largest energy networks in Hawaii with 94,000 bpd of operating refining capacity, a logistics system supplying the major islands of the state and 90 retail locations. In the Pacific Northwest and the Rockies, Par Pacific owns and operates 124,000 bpd of combined refining capacity and related multimodal logistics systems.
Our Retail Operations
We own and operate over 90 retail locations in Hawaii under the Hele and 76 brands and over 30 retail locations in Washington and Idaho under the nomnom brand.
