Title:  AP Supervisor

The Opportunity  

  • Accounts Payable Supervisor at a growth-oriented energy company 
  • Exposure to full cycle Accounts Payable processes
  • Cross Training for future growth
  • Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, this will be providing accounts payable leadership to a transactional team in support of company payable for hydrocarbons, services, freight, and materials.

  

Key activities include:  

  • Lead a team of payables processors by motivating and directing performance
  • Provide accounts payable support across all of Par's scope of operations (Hawaii, Wyoming, Washington, Montana, and Texas)
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of invoices following process procedures
  • Review and resolve workflow exceptions building improvements in the process
  • Understand, utilize, and optimize the software solutions provided in our SAP instances which include, SAP, VIM, Basware, and Bourque
  • Work interactively with the customer base (vendors, procurement, business contacts)  
  • Create and maintain and effective and efficient vendor inquiry / log process
  • Clearly communicate and resolve payables issue according to procedures with proper escalation when assistance is needed
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Account analysis and reconciliation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications  
To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

 

Additional qualifications include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a shared services environment
  • Supervisor experience required
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, have extensive accounting software systems and application software knowledge
  • Oil & Gas/Energy industry experience preferred
  • Must be proactive and self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form and to collaborate and build positive rapport with all levels of staff and management across functional areas
