Title:  Billing Manager

The Role 

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Contracts, Billing & Receivables, you will be responsible for ensuring that billings are issued timely and accurately while resolving any billing related issues.  As part of your specific responsibilities, you will: 


  • Ensure that billings are issued timely and accurately.
  • Ensure payments are received in a timely manner for all entities.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Marketing to resolve pricing and other billing related issues and discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with the established SOX guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate with offsite Billing for corrections or adjustments.
  • Work closely with Contracts/Master Data/SAP IT resources to ensure proper setup of complex pricing formulas and special invoicing requirements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date billing system and ensure all billable charges are invoiced to counterparties each week and month.
  • Coordinate with the Master Data group to create new customer and sales related data.
  • Assist with cash applications and collections.
  • Assist in monitoring customer accounts and AR balances.
  • Interact and support Marketing, Risk, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, and external customers
  • Respond to requests from internal and external customers and ensures all appropriate actions are taken and/or communicated to the appropriate personnel accurately and timely
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by Management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The Requirements 

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Billing Manager opportunity, you will have: 


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant billing experience requires and/or 10+ years industry experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree
  • Previous management experience required
  • Knowledge of industry terminology; understanding of industry contract language required
  • Advances analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, including complex/compound spreadsheets
  • SAP experience required
  • Allegro experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written required
