The Opportunity
- Director, Enterprise Technology at a growth-oriented energy company
- Be a key leader in our technology organization, by overseeing the strategic deployment and support of Par Pacific’s SAP ecosystem
- Drive the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, including the migration from SAP ECC, and play a critical role in standardizing processes, optimizing system utilization, and supporting key business functions across finance, supply chain, and operations
- Reporting to the VP of Technology, you will lead a team of Solution Architects and external partners, ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives that align with our business strategy and operational goals
Key activities include:
- Oversee and direct the design, implementation, and support of SAP S/4HANA and associated cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements
- Develop and execute strategies to drive standardization, process optimization, and system integration across modules, including Finance (FI/CO), Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP)
- Lead the SAP S/4HANA implementation, including Solution Confirmation, data migration, and change management initiatives
- Manage relationships with external vendors, including oversight of implementation partners, ensuring adherence to SLAs, budgets, and project timelines
- Partner with business leaders to prioritize enhancement requests and roadmap initiatives, ensuring technology investments align with strategic objectives
- Establish governance processes to ensure the successful delivery of SAP projects and adherence to best practices in system design and deployment
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Solution Architects, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Monitor system performance and reliability, ensuring high availability and robust disaster recovery plans for SAP systems

Qualifications
To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Additional qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required. A Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on SAP experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing SAP implementations preferred
- Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA migrations and implementations, including Solution Confirmation and data migration requirements preferred
- Strong expertise in SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, PM, and integration with cloud solutions like Ariba preferred
- Solid understanding of SAP Activate methodology and Agile project management principles preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and drive strategic initiatives preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with executive leadership and translate technical concepts into business value preferred

Our Refineries and Logistics Operations
