Title:  Sr. Financial Analyst

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Finance and residing in the Corporate Finance department, the individual joining the team will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of various reports supporting the company’s working capital facilities.  Your specific responsibilities will include: 

  • Work closely with treasury, credit, operations, logistics, legal, settlements, and accounting departments to carry out all responsibilities related to the company’s working capital facilities
  • Assist in the preparation of borrowing base reporting under the company’s Asset Base Lending facility
  • Manage cargo financing under the company’s intermediation agreement
  • Maintain and manage cash balances, including the determination of payments and advances within the working capital facilities
  • Maintain internal crude intermediation financial models that reconcile daily and monthly invoices
  • Responsible for preparation and/or collection of all documents required for weekly, quarterly, and annual covenant compliance process
  • Manage annual collateral audits under the company’s working capital facilities
  • Respond to all accounting, auditing, and SEC inquires related to the working capital facilities
  • Collaborate with Treasury to maintain and update cash liquidity forecasts
  • Maintain and update long-term debt files, including any compliance reporting requirements and processing interest and principal payments due under the long-term debt facilities
  • Crosstrain as back-up and perform other duties as needed and assigned

Qualifications

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Corporate Finance Analyst opportunity, you will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • 5+ years of Finance or Accounting experience
  • Oil & gas industry background preferred, cargo financing experience/exposure a plus
  • Intermediate fluency with Excel formulas and functions, including ability to create spreadsheets, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills 
  • SAP knowledge/experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently, while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivation, high standards, and a performance improvement mindset
  • Ability to work with limited supervision in a team-oriented environment
