Title:  Vice President, Enterprise Technology

The Opportunity

As the Vice President of Enterprise Technology, reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will play a crucial role in leading our business's technological advancements, specifically overseeing Par's business application ecosystem encompassing Accounting, Commercial, HR, Refinery, Logistics, and Data. This role involves aligning technology with our business processes to drive innovation, maintain robust application architecture and integration, and manage the full application development lifecycle. Your leadership will be pivotal in promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the technology team, while fostering strong partnerships with the business.

 

Some of the responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership and Business Application Oversight:

    • Oversee Par's comprehensive business application ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business needs.
    • Develop and implement strategies that effectively align technology with business processes, driving innovation and support for enterprise applications.
    • Responsible for the overall architecture and integration of business applications, maintaining a holistic view of the organization’s strategy and technology landscape.

Application Development and Management:

    • Manage the entire application development process from ideation to deployment, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and deliver value.
    • Continuously evaluate existing solutions, identifying opportunities for standardization, functionality enhancement, and supportability improvement.
    • Establish and enforce robust quality assurance and testing processes, ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of applications.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

    • Promote a culture of innovation, strong customer service, and continuous improvement within the team.
    • Implement analytics tools to monitor application performance and user experience, identifying opportunities for optimization and scalability.
    • Develop strategies for data warehousing and automated reporting to enhance data aggregation and business intelligence.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Provide technical leadership in project management and production support, prioritizing solutions based on business needs and ROI.
    • Engage in regular audit reviews for process optimization, overseeing key application performance metrics.
    • Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, fostering collaboration and understanding of technology’s role in achieving business goals.

Expertise in SAP S/4 and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Demonstrate deep understanding of SAP S/4, leveraging this knowledge to enhance business processes and outcomes.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring technology initiatives support company-wide objectives.

The Requirements 

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Vice President, Enterprise Technology you will have: 

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Experience: At least 15 years in enterprise applications and lifecycle management, including 8+ years in a leadership role, preferably in an enterprise setting in the Downstream Refining industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP ERP platforms, database and BI technologies, data analytics, AI, ML, and data mining. Familiarity with modern enterprise application lifecycle management, customer experience enhancement, Agile methodologies, DevOps, and ERP transformation initiatives.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team development skills with a history of building high-performing teams.
