Title:  Vice President, IT Infrastructure, Security, and Support

The Opportunity 

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will be the cornerstone of our organization’s technology landscape, leading and managing efforts across Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, and End-User Support. This is a multifaceted leadership role crucial for the security, efficiency, and resilience of our organization's entire technology framework, encompassing Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT), and End-User Services. Your responsibilities will span across these domains with a primary focus on ensuring a secure, robust, and user-centric technology environment.

Cybersecurity Leadership:

    • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy covering IT, OT, and end-user environments.
    • Lead the cybersecurity team, promoting a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
    • Implement and enforce security standards, governance, and policies to minimize vulnerabilities across all technology domains.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments in IT, OT, and end-user systems, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

IT Infrastructure Management:

    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with security and business objectives.
    • Collaborate with Architecture teams to ensure a secure and efficient infrastructure that supports both current and future organizational needs.
    • Manage the lifecycle of IT hardware and software, including procurement, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
    • Ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity practices for IT infrastructure.

End-User Support and Services:

    • Lead a user-focused support team to address the needs of employees, enhancing their productivity and satisfaction with IT services.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures for end-user device management, including security, usage, and support.
    • Facilitate effective training and support programs to enhance end-user knowledge and skills in cybersecurity and IT best practices.
    • Oversee the management of helpdesk activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues and queries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Compliance:

    • Consult with various departments to integrate cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and end-user support into all aspects of the organization.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (NIST, PCI, SOX, TSA) across all technology domains.
    • Lead incident management efforts, including immediate response and action plans for security threats or issues in any technology area.
    • Manage and report on security, infrastructure, and support metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.

The Requirements 

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Vice President, IT Infrastructure, Security, and Support you will have: 

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, cybersecurity, or Information Technology.
  • Experience: At least 15 years in IT Infrastructure or Cybersecurity, including 8+ years in a leadership role, preferably in an enterprise setting in the Downstream Refining industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    •  Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure, including network, servers, data centers, and cloud services.
    • Demonstrable experience in leading end-user support services, with a focus on enhancing user experience and productivity.
    • Experience in incident management and response, including handling of security breaches and IT emergencies.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team development skills with a history of building high-performing teams.
