Title:  Environmental Engineer

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Environmental Engineer opportunity, you will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Chemical or Civil/Environmental Engineering or another relevant field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in an industrial environment, preferably in petroleum refining, power generation or pulp & paper.
  • Technical experience in air compliance. Experience in source testing, instrument or CEMS maintenance, or air pollution control or modeling would be beneficial. 
  • Experience working with state and federal regulators or industry associations (such API or AFPM) is desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • The ability to function effectively within tight deadlines, prioritize work, and provide appropriate feedback on progress of projects.
  • Technical savvy, a mechanical orientation and strong attention to detail.
  • Professional registration and/or certification preferred but not required.
  • Solid computer skills, including:
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel, database applications.
  • The ability to learn new systems and programs quickly.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Field work may include climbing, work at heights, and using simple hand tools.

You'll spend most of your time at the computer, but you also will need to spend time in the refinery, working with operations, assessing processes, troubleshooting and more.
