Title:  I & E Technician

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor - I&E you will be providing exemplary customer service to our clients within the operations of the refinery to optimize performance of the equipment & keep workers & our environment safe.  As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will:

  • Troubleshoot and repair transmitters, to include but not limited to flow, pressure, temperature, and level transmitters.
  • Maintain assigned work area & equipment in a safe, orderly & clean condition.
  • Promptly report any unsafe or abnormal conditions to Supervisor on duty.
  • Attends emergency response classes & responds to refinery emergencies as required.
  • Solve and repair minor electrical problems.
  • Install (within reasonable limitations) instrumentation equipment and service as required.
  • Maintain all installed instrumentation and associated equipment and good operating condition.
  • Responsible for compliance with all refineries environmental, health and safety standards (hot work, cold work permit, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, personal protection equipment, etc.)
  • Learn and use refinery material procurement and job planning process and software.
  • Available and fit for duty to take call and work & earn overtime as needed.
  • Instruct and trains helpers that may be assigned to him/her to complete a work project.
  • Oversee the work of outside contractors when they are performing work within the instrumentation and electrical trade.

The Requirements 

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the I&E Technician opportunity, you will have: 

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Two-year certification or AA degree in electronics desired.
  •  2-5 years of work experience in the electronics, electrical, and/or instrumentation field

             preferred.

  • Valid and current Driver’s License.
  • Eligible to obtain & retain Federal Transportation Worker’s Identification (TWIC) Card.
  • Successful employment in a previous instrumentation/electrical industrial work

             environment desired, with 5 or more years in refinery work preferred.

Hiring Range: 

The hiring range for this position is $31.94 - $41.63 per hour.
