Title:  Superintendent Maintenance SPM

Reporting to the SPM Maintenance and Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the reliability, maintenance, and repair of the Single Point Mooring (SPM) Terminal assets and equipment, including but not limited to SPM buoy, mooring chains, floating and submarine hoses, subsea pipelines and manifolds, attachments, spares – both terminal and ashore.

As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will: 

 

  • Coordinate activities and available resources across internal and external groups to best facilitate and ensure safe, environmentally sound, efficient, and cost-effective operations at the SPM Terminal.
  • Ensures reliability and availability of the SPM Terminal through implementation of effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Assures the quality of SPM Terminal maintenance operations and equipment through inspection and contractor oversight.
  • Assumes responsibilities designated by the SPM Manager in his absence.
  • Demonstrates commitment of safe, environmentally sound operations by conducting and participating in safety meetings, safety audits and safety incident investigations, and ensures action items are completed in a timely manner.
  • Carries out frequent visits to SPM Terminal to verify condition of equipment and to audit maintenance contractor performance and safety.
  • Develops work list and follows up aggressively to correct deficiencies identified during inspections and resolves SPM Terminal maintenance-related questions and conflicts.
  • Assists with and develops, writes, and administers effective and legally compliant Operations Manual for SPM Termina.  Executes annual review and update when required.
  • Personally responds, on the scene at SPM Terminal or other facilities, if necessary, to accidents and incidents with goal to minimize impact
  • Assists SPM Maintenance and Operations Manager in the coordination and scheduling of all operations at the SPM Terminal, interacting with Pilot Mooring Masters, shipping agents, regulatory agencies, Oils Planning Department, marine vessels and diving contractors.

The Requirements 

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Superintendent Maintenance SPM opportunity, you will have: 

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years offshore marine oil handling terminals and submarine pipelines, construction, maintenance and repair experience required
  • Experience in developing and writing Request for Proposals (RFP)
  • Diving and/or diving supervisor experience desired
  • Experience with welding and submarine welding preferred
  • Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and submarine NDT preferred
  • Proficient in use of computer (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook email, etc..)
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License with acceptable Driver’s Abstract
