Title:  Warehouse Worker

POSITION SUMMARY

Compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information on SAP.  Pulls orders accurately in preparation for pick up and verifies and enters receipt of incoming shipments.  Distributes material and parts between production areas by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

• High School diploma required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Warehouse or related work experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license required

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensures that optimum levels of inventory stock are maintained. 

• Performs an annual inventory and maintains a daily cycle count.  Cooperates with other departments in a professional manner to ensure smooth flow of materials

• Assures compliance with all safety and hazardous material rules and regulations.

• Responsible for the warehouse structures, maintenance and housekeeping.

• Ensures incoming/outgoing stock is accurately checked for quantity and quality.

• Compares identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order, counts items for verification, and indicates any discrepancies.

• Enters other incoming shipments in the computer, as physical counts have already been verified.

• Manually or using hand truck or forklift, performs various material handling duties in the facilities, such as delivery of stock and non-stock items to various work sites.

• Use tools, such as hammers and crowbars, to remove strapping and to open and reseal crates for stock or shipping.

• Unpacks and stocks bins and cabinets when supplies are received immediately.

• Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and places it in the proper containers or designated areas. Maintains warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.

• Must be able to effectively work with others using excellent customer service and problem solving skills.

• Must be available for rotational on-call status and able to respond to call-outs after hours, weekends and holidays.

 

Other duties as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Full-time

Works 9 hour shifts, on a 9/80 schedule.  Safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hard hats, Nomex, and respirator used when necessary.  Must be able to take call outs and work overtime as needed.  May require after-hours work
