Title: Long-haul Transload Driver
The Opportunity
- Long-haul Transload Driver at a growth-oriented energy company reporting to the Midstream Operations Supervisor.
- Execute long haul movements for trans mix and jet fuel between designated facilities (e.g., Casper, Rapid City to Wyoming Pipeline locations; additional jet routes as scheduled).
- Support safe loading, offloading, and transporting tanker loads of various petroleum products between the assigned truck rack and rail site to alleviate Transload overtime.
Key activities include:
- Safely operate various transport trucks/trailers for petroleum products
- Conduct DOT inspections following the Department of Transportation safety specifications on transport truck and trailer for general operating requirements, and ascertain all required equipment is accessible and in good operating condition
- Following standard SOPs, drive a transport truck and trailer or other vehicle to/from designated facilities to load/offload at truck racks, delivery stations, skids, transloading sites and rail sites per Midstream Operations Supervisor’s orders, ensuring all policies, rules and regulations for each facility are adhered to
- Follows, maintains, and adheres to all safety rules and regulations for loading racks, rail siting, traffic laws, rules and DOT regulations. Follows all environmental procedures and reports all safety and environmental incidents and concerns immediately to the supervisor
- Perform required railcar pre/post inspections and documentation (BOLs, tickets, manifests, loading tickets, etc.) accurately and legibly
- Assist with basic equipment upkeep and minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs, replacing discharge valves, O-rings, hose ears, etc. Including maintaining assigned work areas, transports and vehicles and/or its equipment in a clean and orderly manner, performing housekeeping duties as required and/or directed
- Support transloading operations and, as needed, including assisting with Pumper/Maintenance tasks

Qualifications
To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Additional qualifications include:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must possess and maintain a valid CDL A with Tanker and HazMat endorsements
- A clean motor vehicle record is required
- Two years of experience as a CDL carrier/professional truck driver with petroleum experience is required
- General mechanical knowledge and skills are preferred
- Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations is required
- Have a safety-first mindset with the ability to work extended hours including call outs, weekends and holidays
- Meet the physical demands of the role including the ability to lift to the waist and overhead, carry one and two handed, push and pull a minimum of 60 pounds as well be able to stand, sit, walk, crouch, twist, lie down, reach overhead, grip, pinch, have wrist movement, squat, kneel, climb
- Good communication skills, ability to work with deadlines, organizational ability and problem-solving skills are required
- The ability to work in difficult conditions and with situations involving customers, operations and emergencies are required
- Must demonstrate an understanding of business and how actions contribute to company performance
- Must relate well to and effectively influence others within and across functions through effective communication and collaboration
- Must recognize the impact behavior has on others and demonstrate commitment, adaptability and resilience
- This is a full-time position
- Must be able to work in conditions exposed to heights, confined spaces, heat, noise, humidity, smoke, fumes, dust, gases, hydrocarbons, paints, and solvents using provided PPE such as required safety glasses, flame resistant clothing, earplugs, gloves, steel toe shoes, hard hats and potentially respirators.
