Title:  Lab Supervisor

The Opportunity 

  • Laboratory Supervisor at a Growth-Oriented Energy Company
  • Coordinate daily workflow in each area of the Laboratory
  • Prioritize and balance workflow with Chemists to complete necessary project work
  • Organize Lab Technicians into work areas to maximize analytical objectives
  • Maintain Quality Control & Quality Assurance plan in each laboratory
  • Maintain Laboratory Certifications to demonstrate knowledge base
  • Train Laboratory Technicians to meet qualification requirements of their role
  • Document daily laboratory activities and provide necessary notifications
  • Champion Safety Efforts in the Laboratory
  • Communicate internally and with other departments
  • Generate appropriate paperwork, certifications, and government documentations
  • Work independently on Special Assignments.
  • Manage, assess and develop employees in accordance with Company policies & procedures and talent management processes.

 

Key activities include: 

  • Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment while successfully meeting the Lab’s analytical objectives
  • Coordinate multiple pre & post production refining samples to be certified and sold as commodities on the open market
  • Verify and ensure product quality is maintained at the highest level at all times, in order to provide the best quality to our customers

Qualifications

To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

 

Additional qualifications include:  

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in a related field of study strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience actively supervising within a laboratory required
  • Experience with Instrumentation troubleshooting required
  • Proficiency in various computer applications preferred
  • Dedicated focus on safe operations required
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills strongly preferred
  • Ability to multi-task to manage workflow and people to successfully meet the goals of the company required
  • Work hours are a rotating 4-week schedule requiring off hours, holidays and weekends required

Hiring Range:

The hiring range for this position is $84,697 - $127,045 per year plus non-discretionary bonus. The candidate selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
