Title: Maintenance Planner
The Opportunity
- Maintenance Planner at a growth-oriented energy company
- Assist the refinery in maximizing and achieving effective maintenance performance through the systematic application of planning maintenance work.
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and long-term planning of maintenance work including developing job scopes as required.

- Reporting to the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Superintendent, you will provide exemplary customer service to our clients.
Key activities include:
- Assign codes to work orders.
- Conduct field inspections and determine appropriate job work scopes.
- Coordinate planning of maintenance work among contractors and USOR Manufacturing Departments.
- Develop work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment, and execution of maintenance work.
- Create, use, and maintain plant history and other files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays.
- Coordinate parts kitting for the performance of maintenance work.
- Coordinate purchasing materials as required.
- Develop and evaluate feedback for continuous improvement of maintenance jobs.
- Prepare KPI reports as required for the department.
- Work with the Maintenance Scheduler to ensure they have the necessary information to produce the weekly schedule.
- Keep familiar with current safety rules and regulations.
- Support the Maintenance Department use of the CMMS including completion of work orders, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring.
- Verify contractor planner Work Orders are up to U.S. Oil planning standards.
- Resolve issues on work orders involving company personnel.
- Learn the Maintenance Scheduler role to act as a temporary scheduler for fill-in as required.
- Fill in as the Temporary Maintenance Supervisor as required for vacation relief or other developmental assignments.
- Assist in planning small unit SD’s with the Tech Support Team as required.
- Utilize data, gap analysis methods, cross departmental feedback, and existing practices to drive continuous improvement efforts for the maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
- Communicate with maintenance supervisors and Operations Department the status of each work order.
- Provide leadership, coordinate, and facilitate daily maintenance planning effort between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Projects groups.
- Perform functional, and safety, field audits of planned and scheduled work, results to be reported to supervisor.

Qualifications

Additional qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in industrial setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must have good organizational skills and be able to work effectively and professionally with others
- Experience working with other scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, etc.) preferred
- Experience in using CMMS (Maximo/SAP) preferred
- Can figure out the processes necessary to accomplish tasks; knows how to organize people and activities; understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow; knows what to measure and how to measure it

Hiring Range:
The hiring range for this position is $112,253 – $168,379, plus non-discretionary bonus. The candidate selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
